After about sixteen years without flying, I got started again, and it feels great! We visited friends in Idaho over Labor Day weekend and they took me flying in their Cherokee 180. I simply couldn't believe I was still missing out on the joy of flying and decided right then to get back in the pilot seat. After such a long break, it took about 10 hours of flying to complete my flight review. This photo is from my final flight review session. We left from Independence, flew to Chehalem, then Aurora, Salem, and back to Independence. By the time we got back, it was officially dark and late enough to become night current with three full-stop landings. This photo is of Mary's Peak, taken while toodling around long enough for the sky to get dark.
